Hi everyone! I’ve just recently gotten back into the Prince of Tennis fandom, and was wondering if anyone can lead me to some fanfic communities or hotspots that’s not on ffnet? Especially ones with some good Imperial Tango Royal Adorable SenBe ToFu Atobe fics? I’m not picky, honest! *whistles innocently*

Last time I was actively following PoT fics, I wasn’t using LJ or tumblr yet, but now that I am, I’m hoping to find gems I never would have read before…

It’s like 115 pages long and I don’t have the patience. Luckily my friend Meg actually did read the whole thing! And was super helpful and provided me with these fantastic summaries of it….

This would have have made excellent crack!fic material. (Also, wasn’t there anissue or an arc somewhere that had Charles and Erik beating thugs up in some bar during their manly adventuring? And Charles really didn’t know that Erik was a mutant when they first met - it took some Nazis and Hydra agents and kidnapping and gold to get the two of them to realize the other was a mutant too… I think.)

So, I’ve just finished reading the awesome yaoi comics at teahousecomic ’cause of a reblog from one of the people I’m following (azryal00). And damnit, I found myself replacing the characters with Charles and Erik and other XFC people AGAIN.

Seriously, from the first scene between Linneus and Xanthe alone, I thought their relationship was so Cherik. I mean, you can even just replace Linny’s hair from bubblegum pink into brown and you’d have one of the more popular depictions of Charles in the fandom down to a T.  And god, the UST, the angst, the backstory… 

ERGGG

And the other characters… well, first I tried to fit Alex and Hank into Axis and Rhys, but realized that Hank was waaaaay too soft to be either of them. And then I thought Logan and Scott would be absolutely perfect fits, and for the most part they are. But then Gilder arrived, and I thought - now that is Logan, if only for how gruff he looks, the numerous weapons hidden on his person, and the fact that he claimed to be a lumberjack. ‘Course, he’s a bit too sweet… but hey, he’s still awesome…

The others are even more mix and match for me in regard to the XFC cast, but if you read it, you’ll seriously see what I mean when I say its such a Cherik/XFC fic.

Be warned though, the comic is very yaoi (ie explicit in some parts). 

 

I am watching Starter for 10 at this very moment, and I saw this scene and - my god - I immediately thought of a XMFC reference. I’m sure you’ll know what I’m talking about…

Erghh, I’m only 10 mins into the movie and I’m already hiding my face in my pillow. I don’t know if I should laugh or cringe at how adorably awkward this movie is O.O 

Ok, so I just saw Hugo and I don’t know if anyone else thought this, but doesn’t Hugo (Asa Butterfield) look like a perfect young!Charles? I mean, the actual bb!Charles in XMFC (Laurence Belcher) was adorbs, but guys just look at him…

This morning, I just finished downloading Jane Eyre and Atonement (the films I got before that were Becoming Jane, Fishtank, Starter for 10 and Shame). I’ve been on a major McFassy collecting spree recently, and perpetually rejoiced at the glory of the internet and all its beautiful, generous people with their torrents.

THEN…

No more easily downloadable McFassy for me!!!

Still, I survived a major earthquake earlier today without relinquishing my Cherik fics (didn’t stop reading ‘til my bed started shaking ^^), and I will survive this.

Nothing can keep me from my Cherik and McFassy, people! Earthquake aftershocks and effects of fucking SOPA/PIPA/ACTA be damned.
